PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITIONS IN THIS CLASS: Under general supervision, performs responsible and varied legal secretarial duties and administrative detail in the office of the County Attorney.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND PERFORMANCE:
Essential Duties:
- Prepares and types a variety of correspondence, petitions, warrants, judgments and sentences, affidavits, evidence memos, subpoenas and motions.
- Maintains schedules of court appearances and notifies officers of court dates.
- Maintains case files and gathers required reports and documents.
- Schedules appointments.
- Downloads evidence.
- Scans and enters reports into case management system.
- Handles mail.
- Notarizes documents.
- Responds to public inquiries.
- Runs errands.
- Answers phone.
- Greets visitors.
- Deals with law enforcement agencies, other attorneys, and the courts.
Other Duties: Fills in for others; performs related duties as assigned.
