What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scare Actor position at Sweet Valley Ranch?
Sweet Valley Ranch is hiring part-time, seasonal Scare Actors for our upcoming Backwoods Terror Ranch Halloween attraction in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We are looking for individuals aged 16 and older with a great attitude to safely scare guests, maintain the attraction's atmosphere, and portray characters with high energy. Pay ranges from $7.50 to $10.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Portray assigned characters, utilize props, and wear heavy costuming, masks, or full-face prosthetics for extended periods.
- Maintain a strict "no-touch" policy and follow all behavioral guidelines.
- Perform physical movements (standing, walking, crouching, jumping) in dark, loud, foggy, and temperature-fluctuating environments.
- Prior experience in community or college theatre, teaching, haunted attractions, or speech and debate is preferred.
- Availability is required for all dates during the haunt season, specifically every Friday and Saturday starting October 2nd, the last two Sundays of October, from 5:30 PM to 11:30 PM.
