Responsibilities
- SHOWING UP ON TIME. This is an important part of the job.
- LEAVING ON TIME. Important. Not as important.... Go home. You don't get paid to hang around and talk to coworkers.
- Smiling. Oddly this is a need to seem friendly.
- Making coffees, cappuccinos, and latte's. Don't know how? Don't worry. We train. You get 3 attempts to do it correctly. No pressure.
- Packaging food or preparing orders. Again we train and you will have plenty of practice. Unlimited attempts but remember incorrect attempts envoke angry customer mode. If you want to attempt hard mode you do you boo boo.
- Cleaning - to include sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, washing dishes, taking out trash, wiping down counters, cleaning windows, ect... We have an extra Cinderella name tag for those with a sense of humor.
- Restocking product or supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in events management, hospitality, or customer service is highly desirable.
- Common sense is required.
- Strong communication skills suitable for speaking with the public and engaging diverse audiences. Means you can't be socially akward nor do you need to strike up a conversation with every customer.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple customers and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Some days are cray.
- Familiarity with food service operations and cash handling procedures is a plus.
- Proven conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must hate Crocs. (They are not allowed in the work place. Seriously. It's a thing).
- The ability to keep all aspects of your personal life out of the work place. You are there to do a job for 5 hours and go home.
- The ability to show up to an interview without flip flops or cut off jeans.
- Have or be willing to obtain your food handlers certification. If you don't have we will pay for you to get one. The class will be done on your own time and must be completed prior to starting work.
What to expect: You come in (on time) , clock in, clean. Help customer. Clean. Help customer again. Clean a bit more. Take a 15 minute break. Clean. Help customer. Clean. Clean more. Clean again. Think about how cleaning sucks. Clean more. Look at clock while the last couple of seconds wind down. Tell someone you are leaving. Clock out (On time).
Go home.
Your hours will be 9am to 2pm. Work 5 hours. You go home now.
Pay: $12.00 per hour
