Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and safety standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using cake decorating techniques to enhance visual appeal
- Package baked items efficiently for sale or delivery, maintaining presentation quality and freshness
- Assist in food production and food preparation tasks to support daily bakery operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and handling protocols
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, utilizing knife skills and baking tools with precision
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting customers with their selections
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry work is preferred; culinary experience is highly valued
- Demonstrated skills in cake decorating, food handling, and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a food industry environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in baking techniques
