Role Description
The Wedding Planner Day-Of Assistant is a seasonal job, on-site role based in Colorado. This role supports the lead planner on wedding days through the following:
- Assist the lead planner with wedding day set-up and tear-down
- Support ceremony and reception transitions, including relocating décor or florals as needed
- Light reception candles and assist with ambiance details
- Help line up the wedding party and cue the bride for the ceremony
- Assist guests and the couple as requested (ex: refilling water glasses, small errands)
- Step in where needed to support the lead planner and overall event flow

- Tasks vary by wedding and require flexibility and a positive attitude
- Must be able to take clear direction from the lead planner and execute tasks as instructed
- Professional demeanor, teamwork mindset, and calm under pressure are essential
- Able to go with the flow on wedding days; while key information is shared in advance, tasks and timelines may shift as the day unfolds.
- Must be able to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Applicants should be dependable, responsive, and able to commit to dates once accepted.
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in fast-paced environments.
- Comfort with physically active work, including standing for extended periods and carrying couples' decor, etc.
- Reliable transportation to venues
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs, and assist with event setup and breakdown
