Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, and developing team members to achieve their full potential
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) transactions
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high standards of communication and phone etiquette
- Monitor sales performance through retail math analysis and develop strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Coordinate purchasing decisions and manage budgets to optimize store profitability while maintaining organizational standards
Skills
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in supervising teams within a retail environment
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual or multilingual abilities for diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in inventory control systems, POS technology, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and marketing strategies to drive sales growth
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, interviewing candidates, and managing shift schedules
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock management, pricing accuracy, and retail math calculations
- Experience with retail sales management tools and software; familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus
- Exceptional time management skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Strong management background with assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred; knowledge of budgeting and financial planning is advantageous
