Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Production Associate role located in New York, NY. The Production Associate is responsible for supporting production activities, operating machinery, ensuring quality control standards are met, and maintaining smooth operation of production lines. The role requires adaptability and collaboration within a team-oriented environment to meet production timelines effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with design teams, development teams, to ensure accuracy, consistency and efficiency.
- Oversee documentation and maintain records of lab dips, strike offs, bulk fabrics and samples/materials for all customers PO’s/styles.
- Work as a liaison between Design team and factory
- Assist in communicating with overseas vendors daily to ensure delivery is on schedule
- Track life cycle of a garment from initial Tech Pack to the final shipment of merchandise ensuring quality standards are met and deadlines are followed.
- WIP Reports: Maintaining and updating “Work in Progress” reports to track status of samples (Fit, PP, and TOP samples).
- Issuing and managing purchase orders through Quantum, will provide training
- Basic knowledge of garment construction
- Missy/Junior Sleepwear and Athleisure experience preferred
- Experience working with accounts TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Burlington
- Assist in approving care labels, hang tags, and other required trims that may vary based on customer
- Order price tickets
- Assist on sending out samples and approval submits to customers
- Knowledge of basic industry terminology - lab dips, Strike offs, bulk fabric, Proto, fit, PP
1-2 years experience preferred, will train
Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook, Word, PPT
- High school diploma or equivalent required
