Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Analytical Chemist to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will be at performing assays utilizing LC, GC and ICP technologies to service the contract packaging industries. These test are focused on cGMP requirements including API Assays, Raw Material Strength and purity.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive chemical analyses using techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography (including gas chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography), and microscopy to characterize raw materials and finished products.
- Perform wet chemistry procedures like pH, Viscosity and Density.
- Maintain strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP), and FDA regulations to ensure compliance across all testing activities.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments like spectrophotometers and chromatography systems regularly to guarantee accurate results.
- Manage laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry, sample tracking, and report generation with precision.
- Support quality control initiatives by executing routine testing, documenting results meticulously, and troubleshooting analytical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on method development, validation, and troubleshooting of analytical procedures.
- Ensure all laboratory activities follow safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and biological samples.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related field with strong foundation in analytical chemistry principles.
- Proven laboratory experience working within regulated environments following GLP, CGMP, or FDA standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis
- Hands-on experience with chromatography methods including gas chromatography (GC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
- Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data management.
- Knowledge of quality control processes, calibration procedures, and documentation practices.
