Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Microbiologist to join a group focusing on contract packaging industry in the cosmetic, OTC and wipe industries. This position focus on daily QC testing using USP methods include PET, TMPC and TYMC's. Your expertise will support compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA regulations and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), contributing to the development of safe and effective products. Duties
- Perform microbiological testing using aseptic techniques to detect microbial contamination in raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
- Maintain accurate documentation of laboratory activities within Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) standards
- Follow strict protocols for aseptic technique to prevent cross-contamination during sample handling and testing
- Assist in method development, validation, and troubleshooting for microbiological assays aligned with FDA regulations
- Ensure laboratory safety by adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized workspace
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related scientific field; advanced degrees are a plus
- Laboratory experience working within CGMP or GLP environments is highly desirable
- Proficiency in microbiology techniques including microbial USP 51, 60, 61 and 62, BAM, and ISO methods a plus.
- Strong understanding of FDA regulations and aseptic techniques necessary for clinical laboratory settings
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data tracking and reporting
- Knowledge of microbiological testing standards applicable to pharmaceutical industry
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
