Position Description: Vector Systems Inc is seeking a Project Manager. We are a manufacturer of industrial engineer to order packaged and skidded equipment. An understanding of mechanical systems, piping and instrument diagrams, and the ability to understand mechanical & fabrication drawings is highly desired.
Responsibilities:Manage project files
Coordinate between engineering/sales/quality departments, customer, vendors and inspections as required for the project
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the customer requirements and the project specifications
Maintain records of all communications during the project to include:
Emails
Marked up drawings
Purchase orders
Project schedules
Document transmittal to and from the Customer
Change orders and revisions
Project Procurement; using material take offs and planning for coordination of sub-contractors and material deliveries
Keep project on schedule
Project budgets and comparing to sales materials estimates
Work with manufacturing personnel to ensure project specifications are communicated
Update the company controller when billable milestones have been achieved
Maintain project documents and records as required
Excellent Communication skills with external Customers is vital to success in this position
Make project decisions and recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization, and resource allocation with input from others as needed
