What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI Operations Specialist position at SWAT PLUMBING?
S.W.A.T. Plumbing & Restoration is a fast-growing, field-first service company and we're looking for a sharp, self-driven AI Operations Specialist to help us work smarter across every part of the business — from dispatch and estimating to HR, reporting, and customer communication.
This is not a traditional IT role. We need someone who lives and breathes AI tools, knows how to apply them to real-world business problems, and can build workflows that actually stick with a team of field technicians and office staff.
- Identify inefficiencies across our operations (scheduling, estimating, job costing, communication) and implement AI-driven solutions
- Build and manage automations using tools like Monday.com, Zapier, or Make to reduce manual work
- Support our project management and restoration workflows with AI-assisted documentation, reporting, and follow-up
- Work alongside leadership to develop prompts, tools, and dashboards that give us real-time visibility into the business
- Train staff on new tools and create simple SOPs so adoption actually happens
- Stay current on AI developments and continuously surface new opportunities
What We're Looking For:
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) in a business setting — not just personal use
- Strong understanding of workflow automation platforms (Monday.com, Zapier, Make, etc.)
- Comfortable working with non-technical teams and translating tech into plain language
- Experience with platforms common in service/construction industries is a big plus (Xactimate, ServiceTitan, job costing software)
- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects without hand-holding
- Strong written communication skills — you'll be drafting templates, SOPs, and summaries regularly
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
