Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across multiple practice areas.
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements with precision and clarity
- Prepare for court depositions and assist in trial preparation by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and supporting litigation efforts
- Provide legal counsel to clients on criminal and civil matters.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve disputes efficiently while advocating for clients’ best interests
- Support attorneys during court proceedings by presenting arguments and assisting with procedural requirements
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and current admission to the state bar
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, statutory research methods, and legal administrative processes
- Proficiency with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and courtroom advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in trial preparation, court depositions, motion filings, and negotiation strategies
