Overview: General Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair and rebuild defective components, including engines, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Fabricate and repair metal parts as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Perform maintenance on company vehicles/machinery/equipment, which include oil changes, inspections, and other routine checks.
- Repair company vehicles/machinery/equipment.
- Maintain company tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure proper use.
- Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
- Operate a service truck when needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training in mechanics, equipment maintenance, or related fields preferred.
- 3 years of experience in equipment/vehicle maintenance and mechanical repair.
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and experience reading equipment manuals, schematics, or technical diagrams.
- Must have basic hand tools up to ½" drive.
- Ability to read and understand Service Manuals.
- Ability to use or learn to use diagnostic software.
- Competent with computers, including email and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license required
- Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Swank Driver File, including a PennDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, MVR check, and background check
- Class 7 Inspection License
- Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement
- Knowledge of Welding and Fabrication
- Able to operate and work on various different types of equipment and trucks.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer or mobile device for extended periods.
- Must be able to regularly lift, push, pull, and carry at least 40 lbs.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and crawl for extended periods.
- Will work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in environments with noise, heat, cold, dust, fumes, and other typical shop or field conditions.
- Ability to travel independently to company meetings or vendor locations when needed.
