Dental Billing & Insurance Coordinator

We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of the billing process from claim submission through payment. The ideal candidate is comfortable researching issues, following up on outstanding claims, correcting errors, and communicating with insurance companies rather than simply submitting claims and waiting for payment.

Responsibilities:

• Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
• Submit and follow up on dental claims
• Review EOBs and insurance payments
• Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately
• Work outstanding insurance A/R and denied claims
• Submit and track pre-authorizations
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, benefits, and payment issues
• Coordinate patient insurance estimates and financial responsibilities
• Review unpaid/aging claims and follow up as needed
• Research claim denials and determine appropriate next steps
• Maintain accurate insurance information in the practice management system
• Assist with credentialing and insurance enrollment as needed
• Work closely with front office and clinical teams to ensure accurate billing
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous dental billing and/or dental insurance experience preferred
• Knowledge of dental insurance terminology, CDT codes, EOBs, and claim processing
• Experience with dental practice management software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable communicating with insurance companies and patients
• Ability to research and resolve billing issues independently
• Strong follow-through and ability to manage multiple locations/providers
• Experience with Medicaid, commercial insurance, and/or orthodontic billing is a plus

Experience managing billing for multiple providers and/or locations is highly preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
