LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE TO COVER A LEAVE OF ABSENCE 1/5/26-2/13/26
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Special Education Teacher- Discovery Learning Centers
(Master's level required, Moderate Disabilities DESE certification in required grade level)
Complete evaluations, write IEPs, progress reports
Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities, including autism, and/or learning disabilities, and mild intellectual disability
Modify curriculum to grade level entry points as needed, implement functional curricula
Implement behavior support plans and collect data to inform progress and interventions
Consult with general education teachers and staff
Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis, Social Thinking Curricula, and Zones of Regulation required
Facilitate social skills groups and incidental teaching techniques for social skills
Vocational skills as applicable to the program
Communication with families
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's level required
- Moderate Disabilities DESE certification in the required grade level
