What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Lines Producer position at Swamp Fox Agency LLC?
The mission of the Insurance Producer is to grow Swamp Fox Agency's book of business by building trusted relationships, providing expert insurance guidance, and delivering exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities of This Role
1. New Business Development & Sales Execution
a. Respond promptly to inbound leads via phone, web, walk - ins, and marketing referrals.
b. Conduct outbound calls to generate new leads and re - engage unsold quotes, lost accounts, and monoline policies.
c. Prequalify prospects to ensure carrier and risk alignment.
d. Present customized proposals aligned with agency goals, carrier appetites, and client needs.
e. Follow the full sales process from lead to bind, maintaining accurate documentation in the agency management system.
f. Achieve or exceed monthly and annual new business premium targets (e.g., $45,000 –$60,000 monthly).
g. Maintain a closing ratio of 50% or higher through consistent follow - ups and relationship building.
h. Conduct 5 – 6 diligent follow - up calls on each quoted lead to maximize conversion.
2. Client Engagement, Retention & Account Rounding
a. Build long - term client relationships based on trust, service, and expertise.
b. Conduct policy reviews and proactively identify coverage gaps and opportunities for account rounding (target: 70% multiline).
c. Educate clients on coverage options across both personal and commercial lines (auto, home, umbrella, general liability, property, workers’ compensation, etc.) .
d. Collaborate with Account Managers to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional service.
e. Revisit older quotes and upcoming renewals to identify new opportunities.
f. Contribute to agency retention goa ls ( target: 9 0 % ) by ensuring satisfied clients and proactive service touchpoints.
g. Request and track atleast 5 client testimonials or reviews monthly.
3. Operational Excellence & Compliance
a. Respond to all inbound inquiries within 5 minutes and all follow- up items within 24 hours.
b. Log all calls, follow- ups, and proposals in the agency management system daily.
c. Collect all required underwriting information, signatures, and payments before binding.
d. Follow all agency and carrier compliance protocols for documentation, remarketing, and risk submission.
e. Coordinate with Account Managers and underwriters to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
f. Stay current with carrier programs, appetite guides, and coverage changes.
4. Relationship Building & Community Presence
a. Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with realtors, lenders, attorneys,
CPAs, and small business owners.
b. Actively participate in community events, networking groups, and business associations to build visibility.
c. Represent the agency professionally and a uthentically in all public settings.
d. Promote the agency’s referra l progra m and consistently ask satisfied clients to share reviews or testimonials.
5. Marketing & Internal Collaboration
a. Partner with the marketing team to refine lead quality, campaigns, and messaging.
b. Share ideas for blog posts, email campaigns, and social media content that highlight client success stories.
c. Amplify agency visibility by sharing branded content on social media and personal professional platforms.
d. Provide feedback on lead conversion rates, carrier competitiveness, and client trends.
e. Colla borate with service and operations teams to enhance efficiency and client experience.
6. Professional Growth & Industry Knowledge
a. Maintain an active Property & Casualty License and complete all required CE credits.
b. Engage in ongoing education ( e.g., Tota l CSR, Hartford School, or CIC/ CISR programs).
c. Stay informed about industry trends, coverage developments, and new market opportunities.
d. Continuously identify skill gaps and work with your manager on a professional development plan.
e. Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
