Swadley's BBQ is seeking a talented and experienced Cook to join our team at our popular barbecue restaurant. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of barbecue dishes, sides, and sauces according to our recipes and standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meats, including brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken, on our smokers and grills
- Prepare and cook side dishes such as baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese
- Follow recipes and portion sizes accurately
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure food safety standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with food inventory and ordering as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely service
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant or BBQ establishment
- Knowledge of barbecue cooking techniques and smoking meats
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food handler's certification is a plus
