What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator/Painter/Mechanic position at SW&E, LLC?
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled individual that has at least two of the listed skills. The ideal candidate will be a welder that has experience painting with two part epoxies or vehicle repair experience. However we will consider a non-welder that can paint and has mechanical ability. This is a unique job shop position that requires someone that enjoys their work. SW&E, LLC builds truck beds and installs them on our customers vehicles which requires electrical knowledge and sometimes hydraulic system knowledge. We also have a structural side of the business that requires installation of items we fabricate in the customers facility. All of these require spray painting, usually with two part epoxies.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication.
- Perform GMAW, FCAW, SMAW & GTAW welding operations
- Utilize tools such as a tape measure, square and other devices to ensure precision in fabrication.
- Operate bandsaw, crane, ironworker and forklifts safely.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Be a team player and have a desire to work 40 hours per week.
- Have a second skill such as spray painting or mechanic experience.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication. Weld test required.
- Proven track record for reliability. References will be checked.
- Experience working at customers facilities is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Secondary skill such as spray painting or mechanical experience.
- Drug free and smoke free environment. Drug testing is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
