Welder Fabricator
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Welder performs skilled welding work in fabrication of metal products. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and previous welding experience. Candidates must have knowledge of the tools, materials, and practices of the welding trades. Manufacturing experience is preferred. We are looking for a team player who can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, is physically able to perform the duties of the job (lift up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, twist, kneel, use hand and power tools, etc.), has strong communication and customer service skills, and can work at least 40 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and interprets blueprints and work orders
- Verifies orders for correct quantity
- Performs inspection for problems
- Determines correct alloy to be applied to all welds
- Performs skilled welding following standardized procedures
- Visually inspects completed welds to determine compliance with standards and checks quality and appearance of finished product
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic welding experience required
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to read a manufacturing drawing highly preferred
- Good basic math skills
- Must have knowledge of standard tools, materials, and practices of welding trades
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
- Exact by will be determined by experience
Pay
- Pay will be based on skill, experience and weld test results.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
