What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Operations Supervisor position at SVS Home Comfort?
Overview
The Field Operations Supervisor is a critical link between our project managers and field teams. Since many of our residential HVAC installations span several months, this role is responsible for conducting quality control inspections at key project checkpoints, supervising and guiding our installation technicians in the field, and serving as the professional face of SVS Home Comfort to our homeowners and general contractor partners. This position reports directly to the General Manager.

- Conduct scheduled site visits at defined project milestones throughout the installation lifecycle
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets SVS standards, manufacturer specs, and applicable codes
- Supervise, coach, and correct field technicians on job sites — setting expectations and holding the team accountable
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for homeowners and general contractors, maintaining a professional and trustworthy presence
- Document and report findings from each site visit to the General Manager with clear, organized updates
- Identify and proactively communicate potential issues before they become costly problems
- Support a culture of continuous learning and high craftsmanship across the field team
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to keep jobs on schedule and on scope
- Communicate with city and county inspectors as needed to ensure inspections are scheduled, completed, and documented properly
- Assist in collecting all required documentation for homeowner energy rebates; coordinate with the office staff to ensure all items are gathered and submitted accurately
- Assist with supervising field employee timesheets, including making corrections when needed (e.g., missed clock-outs or timesheet errors)

- A genuine desire to learn, grow, and advance within the company
- Comfortable working independently in the field without constant supervision
