What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Payroll Analyst position at SVS Group?
•3-4 Month Contract RoleLocation: hybrid or remote•Rate: $40-$50/hour based on experience •Additional Comments from Hiring Manager: We need someone who has Workday experience - preferably >2 years, they should have some experience with international payroll IF we can find someone with SafeGuard or Deel experience, that would be great. They should also have some experience with payroll accounting.General Ledger Accounting:•Assist in the month and year end close, preparing journal entries and reconciling the general ledger ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.•Analyze financial data and provide explanations for variances•Prepare monthly reconciliations of assigned GL accounts.•Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.•Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external regulations.•Assist with audits and provide documentation as required by external auditors.•Support the preparation of tax filings, including payroll taxes, sales taxes, and other regulatory reporting requirements.•Support team on ad-hoc tasks.Payroll Support:•Assist with the preparation and processing of domestic and international payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.•Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, and employee deductions.•Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and timesheets.•Reconcile payroll-related accounts and prepare necessary journal entries.•Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data in the payroll system.•Identify opportunities to enhance payroll and accounting processes. Implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:•3 years General Ledger and Payroll experience•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance•Ability to multitask, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in fast paced and continuously changing environment•A team player with experience working in global culture•Structure, organized and sharp attention to detail is a must
