Vegetable Farm Harvest and Packing staff

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable Harvest and Packing staff to join our team. As a Packing staff, you will be responsible for all aspects of packing vegetables in boxes for customers, including washing and preparing the vegetables.

We are farming over 30 varieties of Japanese vegetables. We cultivate and ship our fresh produce year-round.

We are looking for packing staff who can work daytime for 3 -9 hours and 1-6 days a week, depending on the season.

Main Duties:

• Washing vegetables
• Preparing vegetables such as cleaning, bunching and weighing
• Packing vegetables in boxes
• Organizing vegetables in storage (no machine required)
• Writing checklists and inventory

Sub duties:

• Planting, cultivating, and harvesting over 30 varieties of Japanese vegetables.
• Performing routine farm tasks such as weeding, pruning, and fertilizing.
• Assisting in the packaging and shipping of produce.
• Ensuring crops are cared for and maintained according to seasonal requirements.
• Monitoring and reporting on crop conditions and farm operations.
• Adhering to safety protocols and farm standards.
• Working collaboratively with other field workers and supervisors.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in agriculture or farm work is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for 6-9 hours a day, 4-6 days a week.
• Flexibility to work different hours and days depending on the season.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work.
