Neurosurgeon – VA Contract Opportunity
Location: Cedar Hill, MO
Contract: November 2, 2026 – November 1, 2027
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM call
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon for a long-term contract opportunity providing comprehensive neurosurgical care to Veterans at a major VA medical center.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient and inpatient neurosurgical consultations and follow-up care.
- Perform cranial and spinal surgical procedures.
- Provide intraoperative and postoperative care, including SICU and inpatient rounding.
- Conduct bedside consultations for non-ambulatory patients.
- Complete timely documentation in the VA electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement and morbidity & mortality activities.
- Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
- Provide 24/7 neurosurgical call coverage.
Schedule & Call
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM onsite.
- Weekend inpatient rounding as needed.
- 24/7 call coverage with 15-minute telephone response and 60-minute onsite response.
Qualifications
- Doctorate degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery.
- 1 year of neurological surgery experience preferred.
