Fiscal Assistant$33,009.60 - $49,504.00; Starting salary commensurate with selected candidate's competencies and qualifications.

Job Duties Include
The
Fiscal Assistantwill perform some of the following duties within all functional areas of the Finance Office as listed below. Specific tasks will be assigned in a manner that maintains separation of duties and internal controls.
Accounting
- Enter encumbrances in the accounting system.
- Review and process accounts payable invoices.
- Reconcile and process monthly transactions for District's purchasing cards program.
- Support employee payroll processing and act as a backup to ensure continuity.
- Retrieve and compile required documentation for internal and external audit requests.
- Review and recommend cash management needs and process cash receipts.
- Maintain petty cash.
- Support the budget development process through quality review and preparation of materials for distribution.
- Provide administrative support for the Truth in Millage (TRIM) process.
- Assist with maintaining Finance Office records and documentation.
- Research and respond to internal and external inquiries from vendors, the public, and District staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Fiscal Assistant
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in accounting or business administration preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clerical, banking, and/or accounts payable experience.
- College Education can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required work experience.
- Valid drivers' license.
