Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation.
- Manage medication inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and proper storage in compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Support patient service initiatives by accurately processing medication intake, verifying prescriptions, and providing medication information under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain strict adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance across all pharmacy activities.
- Prepare and dispense medications for acute care and critical care patients.
- Document all pharmacy activities meticulously, including medication administration records, inventory logs, and incident reports.
- Uphold patient care standards by demonstrating excellent communication skills, understanding medical terminology, and ensuring a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
Requirements
- Critical care experience or clinical pharmacy background is highly desirable but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within fast-paced settings while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage intake processes effectively while adhering to all safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED.
