We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! Organization: ABSMC-Alta Bates Summit Med Center Position Overview: To provide materials support to all clinical and ancillary departments. Maintain adequate supply in all Omnicells, Optiflex and Lawson par locations. Enter all patient charges. Works as a liason between assigned departments and Materials Management bringing forth any issues or concerns raised by the departments. A minimal stock of IV solutions are necessary to meet the potential needs of the patients on each unit and shall be stored, delivered and inventoried by … Distribution Technicians and/or Distribution Supervisors shall order, stock, deliver and access IV solutions from their floor stock list. The above individuals may transport and stock IV Solutions to specific locations, which could include medication rooms, upon request by authorized personnel or as needed to replenish used stock based on daily inventory counts. If the delivery is made to a medication room the Distribution Technicians will need to seek access to these areas by the proper authorized personnel from the floor. Central Distribution may distribute stock IV solutions and irrigations to the authorized Nursing Units/departments. Select concentrations of pre-made large volume IV's containing potassium chloride shall be available on the Central Distribution cart for select nursing units. Job Description: EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: Minimum one year in any of the following: Inventory Control, Central Supply/Distribution.
