Duties
- Plan and execute dynamic cheerleading practices that improve skills, coordination, and team cohesion
- Choreograph routines for competitions, and performances that energize audiences and showcase team talent
- Teach proper cheerleading techniques, including jumps, stunts, tumbling, and dance moves with safety as a priority
- Foster a positive team environment by encouraging sportsmanship, discipline, and respectful behavior among participants
- Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development
- Coordinate team schedules for practices, competitions, and community events while maintaining clear communication with parents
- Ensure all activities comply with safety standards related to cheerleading stunts, physical activity, and injury prevention
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cheerleading coaching or performing at a competitive or school level
- Strong background in sports coaching with knowledge of cheerleading techniques and routines
- Experience working with children or students in a teaching or childcare setting
- Familiarity with physical education principles, behavior management strategies, and safety protocols in athletic environments
- Skills in teaching physical activities such as gymnastics, tumbling, dance, or martial arts (e.g., Karate, Judo) are highly desirable
- Ability to motivate young athletes while maintaining a disciplined yet fun atmosphere
- Certifications or willing to become certified
