Susquehanna Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a Full-time Oral Surgery Assistant to join our busy oral surgery practice. Our goal is to provide care in a comfortable caring and non-threatening environment with patient care being our #1 priority. You will help with preparing patients, sterilizing instruments, setting up rooms, and assisting in surgical procedures. Oral surgery assisting experience is a plus and we will train the right candidate to learn the specifics of the office. To do well in this role you should have a strong attention to detail, provide a great level of patient care and be dependable. We have a structured training program that allows you the ability to progress with our company. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, including extractions, biopsies, and implant placements, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and sterilization protocols following aseptic techniques.
- Take dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans and medical imaging, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage patient records accurately within our electronic medical record (EMR) ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide chairside assistance by managing vital signs, documentation, and coding as needed for surgical procedures.
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and answer questions regarding procedures related to oral surgery
- Support infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment to uphold safety standards within the dental clinic.
