Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, ensuring presentation and quality meet established standards
- Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting creative sushi options
- Handle food preparation tasks including slicing fish, cooking rice, and assembling rolls with attention to food safety and hygiene protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by managing food handling and serving duties efficiently
- Follow all food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with chefs and staff to deliver excellent food service experiences
Skills
- Prior experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or culinary settings, is highly desirable
- Strong knife skills for precise slicing of fish and vegetables
