Arriving in Nashville from Chicago, Sushi-san will be serving up the freshest fish seven days a week. The menu from Master Sushi Chef Kaze Chan will feature signature maki, handrolls, San-Sets, nigiri and sashimi along with Sizzling Rice, binchotan robata grilled dishes and more. Along with a robust sake-by-the-glass list and blast chilled beer, guests will dine to the tunes of golden-era hip-hop.  This will be the fourth location of Sushi-san and first Sushi-san location outside of Chicago.

Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants is looking for a Catering Sales Manager with 2-5 years of catering sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the restaurant’s catering and events to ensure an exceptional guest and employee experience
  • Develop and maintain a Lettuce client list using various techniques including but not limited to prospecting and cold calls
  • Develop and write catering proposals, contracts and event orders; schedule catering events in online system; respond to client and guest questions; and work toward achieving sales goals
  • Attend tastings and meetings, and collaborate with General Manager and Chef to develop catering menus
  • Cultivate and maintain a list of preferred vendors
  • Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and growing the business in support of financial goals
  • Partner with GM and management team to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop all catering team employees as needed
  • Understand and assist as needed with in-house audio visual equipment as needed
  • Model and promote teamwork across all teams
  • Use tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors and employees, and respond with patience and courtesy
  • Work a variety of days and shifts (including early mornings, late nights and weekends) at multiple sites with or without overnight travel, as needed
  • Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of catering sales, events, or hospitality sales experience
  • Skilled in developing guest rapport
  • Strong knowledge of the Nashville market and local business/community connections
  • Proven ability to generate leads, build client relationships, and grow revenue
  • Experience coordinating corporate events, social events, and large-group dining
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to build in a new and growing market
  • Passion for hospitality and guest experience

Salary Range

USD $55,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 /Yr.
