Responsibilities
- Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and artistry, adhering to traditional techniques and recipes.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained in the kitchen at all times.
- Manage inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality while minimizing waste.
- Maintain cleanliness of the sushi station and surrounding areas, following proper food handling procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Familiarity with various sushi types, including nigiri, sashimi, rolls, and specialty items.
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
