Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and kitchen support to ensure safety standards are met
- Manage cash handling, process payments accurately through POS systems and provide correct change
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments,
- Strong knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Familiarity with serving techniques in various settings including casual dining, fine dining, or hospitality venues
- Knowledge of food industry terminology related to food preparation, kitchen operations, and guest services
