Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation, and possess excellent knife skills and food safety knowledge. Primary responsibilities will involve rolling, with sashimi and nigiri experience a plus.

Responsibilities
- Ability to operate independently while preparing and assembling sushi dishes, adhering to traditional techniques and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food handling and preparation complies with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including proper storage of ingredients
- Uphold our reputation for quality and presentation by consistently delivering exceptional dishes
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or Japanese cuisine setting
- Strong culinary experience with expertise in food preparation, cooking, and food handling
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various sushi techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a professional kitchen
- Prior restaurant experience in the food industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
