Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with friendly professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements for smooth service flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in fast paced, high-volume restaurant
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations accurately
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is advantageous but not required
- Must be adaptable, energetic, and eager to contribute to a lively team atmosphere
