Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment thoroughly following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients to support kitchen operations.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring cleanliness in guest spaces.
- Follow proper manual handling techniques when lifting heavy items like bulk supplies or large pots to prevent injury.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, mixers, and other small appliances as needed.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas regularly.
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key.
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment and dishwashing machines.
