Crew Member - Sushi Box

Job Summary
Sushi Box is looking for friendly and hardworking Crew Members to join our team. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Crew Members help guests build their sushi boxes from the service line, assemble orders accurately, and keep the restaurant clean and organized. There is plenty of room for growth as we continue to expand.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and guide them through our build-your-box service line
• Assemble sushi boxes based on the items selected in the display case
• Provide clear and friendly service while answering menu questions
• Keep the line stocked, clean, and visually appealing
• Assist with simple prep tasks such as portioning ingredients or restocking items
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant, including dining and prep areas
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Work with the team to ensure quick and efficient service, especially during rushes

Skills

• Customer service or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with steady guest interaction
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset
• Good attention to detail to ensure accurate box assembly
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
• Basic understanding of food safety is a plus

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with guests, likes hands-on work, and wants opportunities to grow within a supportive team. Crew Members also share in tip pooling.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
