What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Driver/Site Assistant position at Surprise Lake Camp?

The position runs from June 1-August 23, 6 days per week . ( start date flexible)Pre-camp and post-camp work is also available.
Site Assistants live on-site, full time at camp with 3-4 other staff (can leave on days/nights off), and camp provides full room and board. (Housing and 3 meals a day).
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Must be able to lift heavy loads of 50lbs or more
- Must be able to work up to 60 hours a week
- Must have clean driving record and have been licensed for at least five years
Responsibilities
- Assist with moving beds, mattresses, furniture, and other equipment across camp as needed.
- Support general maintenance, camp setup, and cleanup throughout the season.
- Complete scheduled daily runs to the train station, post office, and mall with the site team.
- Handle luggage loading, unloading, and distribution during camper arrival and departure days.
- Conduct daily garbage and recycling collection across camp.
- Assist with daily food, mail, and package deliveries to Teenside.
- Participate in evening duty rotations and respond to emergencies when needed.
- Perform daily vehicle checks including fuel, oil, and water levels and report any safety concerns.
- Serve as a positive role model and support campers when needed.
- Attend staff orientation, meetings, and meals as part of the camp community.
- Follow all camp policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including reporting concerns related to camper safety or behavior.
- Assist with camp opening preparations, closing procedures, and final end of summer cleanup.
- Maintain consistency, responsibility, and professionalism while also taking care of your own wellbeing.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 per month
