Product Support Associate – April 2026
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Product Support Associate works with the Product Support Team to provide technical support and customer service to the customers of Surplus Center. This position is responsible for providing product support, assistance with item selection, order entry, miss-picked claims, damage claims, and warranty claims for all customers.
The Product Support Associate will also be responsible for attending training meetings, continually learning the company’s inventory lines, advising on returns and warranty claims, and aiding all Surplus Center staff when questions arise that relate to technical or warranty issues.
The Product Support Associate position is a full time, 7:45AM-5:15PM, M-F position that offers full benefits. They will report to the Customer Service Manager.
Additional Duties
- Work closely with Customer Service Manager to keep them up to date and advise on improvements and issues with daily events
- Provide technical and customer service over the phone when necessary
- Work closely with returns/warranty processor to insure proper handling
- Communicate any new market or product ideas to Customer Service Manager
- Miscellaneous extra duties assigned by Customer Service Manager
Applicant Requirements
- Mechanical Aptitude, prior experience in one or more types of inventory lines required
- Ability to work unsupervised and stay task oriented
- Basic Computer Skills including ability to type 35 words per minute
- Basic Mathematics
- Prior phone and customer service experience preferred
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Employment contingent upon a clean background check
