We are seeking a highly motivated Licensed Practical Nurse LPN who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, is comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities, and takes pride in providing excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
The Certified Medical Assistant will play an important role in keeping clinic operations running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients and preparing them for their visit
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs and relevant patient information
- Working within EPIC electronic medical records
- Completing thorough chart preparation before clinic, including reviewing upcoming appointments, medical history, testing, imaging, labs, and other relevant records
- Reviewing charts to ensure necessary records and information are available for the provider
- Assisting providers during busy clinic sessions
- Preparing rooms and supplies for office procedures
- Cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing instruments as needed
- Managing clinical telephone messages and patient calls
- Communicating provider recommendations and results to patients as directed
- Processing medication refill requests and prior authorizations
- Assisting with procedure and testing authorizations
- Reviewing incoming clinical faxes and ensuring information is routed appropriately
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
- Assisting with inventory and maintaining stocked, organized clinical areas
- Communicating and collaborating with other clinical and front-office team members
- Helping wherever needed to keep the clinic running efficiently
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- working in a fast-paced medical office
- Experienced with or willing to quickly learn EPIC (will need to attend 1.5 days of training in Fort Wayne, IN)
- Organized and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Dependable and accountable
- Detail-oriented, particularly when preparing patient charts and documenting in the medical record
- Comfortable communicating with patients by phone and in person
- Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Willing to ask for help and communicate when additional support is needed
- Positive, professional, and patient-focused
- Flexible and willing to assist outside of their immediate responsibilities when the needs of the clinic require it
