Position Summary
The Office Coordinator is responsible for managing the administrative and operational functions of the Practice, scheudling staff, and maintaining efficient workflow across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily office operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to practice policies and procedures.
- Manage patient scheduling, insurance verification, and medical records while ensuring full HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate physician schedules, meetings, and office events to support optimal workflow.
- Monitor billing and administrative processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and uphold office protocols that promote a professional and patient-centered environment.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff to support effective communication and resolution of issues.
Qualifications
- Experience in medical office or healthcare administration preferred.
- Proven ability to schedule staff and daily operations in a busy medical environment.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, insurance verification, and medical record management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
