What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attendant position at SURGERY CENTER JV?
*Anesthesia Technician supports the Anesthesiologist and Nurse Anesthetist by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case*
RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains established standards of care, policies, goals and objectives in assisting the professional nursing staff and anesthesia to care for the patients presented to The Surgery Center of Huntsville.
QUALIFICATIONS: Preferably experience in a surgery center setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be flexible in hours worked; must be able to endure long periods of standing or sitting or walking; may require bending and stooping, lifting and transporting of patients. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity; must be able to distinguish letters or symbols with normal vision range. May be exposed to communicable diseases and/or exposed to minimal amounts of radiation. Work area is well lighted and well ventilated; contact with staff and patients required.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Must be accomplished in the use of all equipment and materials required for assisting the nursing staff and anesthesia in assigned duties. Must be adept in wheelchair and stretcher safety.
