Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of duties including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role supports safety, preventive maintenance, and production efficiency to help achieve operational goals.
Pay & Shift
- Pay: $26.65 – $29.50/hour (DOE)
- Shift Premium: $1.00/hour
- Shift: 3rd Shift
Primary Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and facility equipment
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs during production
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders
- Diagnose issues, repair or replace defective parts, and test equipment
- Perform basic machinist tasks as needed
- Conduct plumbing and carpentry repairs as required
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures
Qualifications
Experience:
- 4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus
Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
- PLC experience
- HVAC experience preferred
- Experience with injection molding and automated assembly lines is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Results-driven with a high level of initiative
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Occasional travel may be required
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Requires close, distance, and peripheral vision
