Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Production Associate to support clipping and tie operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating clip guns, assembling materials, and ensuring quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies and life-saving rules at all times
- Demonstrate strong core values including accountability, teamwork, integrity, respect, and excellence
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
- Operate air-powered clip guns to secure coil loops
- Load and change clip magazines or feed strips into clip guns
- Move baskets or coils into proper working position
- Remove tie wires from work-in-process (WIP) materials
- Align barbs or loops correctly prior to clipping
- Inspect finished products and remove excess clips as needed
- Ensure proper clipping sequences are followed
- Identify damaged barbs and verify product quality
- Perform daily cleaning and organization of the work area
- Push, pull, and maneuver heavy materials using appropriate tools
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and problem-solving skills
- Strong safety awareness and action-oriented mindset
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends as needed
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
- Ability to occasionally team lift items exceeding 50 pounds
- Capable of pushing and pulling heavy loads using leverage tools
