What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Surge Rehab and Nursing?
Surge Rehabilitation and Nursing has Per diem opportunities for Physical Therapists.
Responsibilities/duties:
- Work collaboratively with all therapy teams and
- Complete evaluations and all necessary documentation
- Provide recommendations supporting communications/assessments
- Provide therapy as outlined in treatment plans and prescriptions
- Offer treatments that help improve patient's inabilities and/or challenges
- Independently manage workflow which includes allotting time for treatment documentation of individual treatments and notes in the electronic records system
- Familiar with PDPM
- Align therapy treatments and plans with an understanding of Medicaid and Medicare billing
Qualifications:
- New York PT License
- Background/experience in long term care (specifically a Skilled Nursing Facility)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities and ability levels
- Creative problem-solving skills
