What you’ll do
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel at home from the start.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the menu, specials, and reservation options.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area to create an inviting atmosphere.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during peak hours.
Basic qualifications
- Previous host/host experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members alike.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Background in food service or hotel guest services is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of serving etiquette and guest relations best practices.
