We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial finishing equipment. This is a remote, field-based position requiring regular travel throughout New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and New York. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on installation experience, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field installation of:
- Paint and powder coating booths
- Ducting and ventilation systems
- Industrial ovens
- Finishing application equipment (pumps, spray systems, related components)
- Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of paint and powder coating equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, airflow, and pump-related issues and implement effective solutions
- Work closely with customers on-site to ensure equipment is installed and operating properly
- Complete service documentation, reports, and job summaries accurately and timely
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment while adhering to company and customer safety standards
- Collaborate with internal teams as needed to support project execution and service needs
- General understanding of mechanical installations, HVAC systems, and pump applications
- Hands-on experience working with industrial or mechanical equipment (finishing systems experience is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and installation layouts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within NJ, Eastern PA, and NY
- Experience with paint or powder coating systems
- Background in industrial service, equipment installation, or field service roles
- Electrical or controls familiarity (not required, but a plus)
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Travel: Regular regional travel required
- Off-shift work: Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work as needed for customer installations or shutdowns
- Ability to lift, carry, and install equipment components
- Comfortable working in industrial environments, including heights and confined spaces when required
