Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and improve overall team performance.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking merchandise as needed.
- Handle cash register operations, including cash handling and reconciliation at the end of shifts.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable purchasing terms and pricing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment for customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Monitor sales performance and assist in implementing strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Support scheduling and time management for staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Skills
- Strong background in retail/hotel management with experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and operating cash registers.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors while maintaining positive relationships.
