SURESTAFF is hiring a Maintenance Technician for a well-known dairy distribution company located in Chicago, IL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($25-$35/hr depending on experience) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shift is 1st shift 6am-4pm, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Include: Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and adjusts.Performs regular preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on company assets including but not limited to egg loaders, egg graders, tape machines, and over wrappers.Repair and maintain equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment. Keep accurate maintenance and preventative maintenance records. Maintains a safe, productive, and reliable workplace to meet our business needs while compiling with OSHA, IIAR, ANSI, COC and Food grade standards (GMP’s).Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Preferred Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician: Requires a high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.Intermediate computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, etc.Must be able to read and follow blueprints, drawings and schematics.An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.Company DescriptionAbout Surestaff At Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
