What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Driver & Kitchen Assistant position at Surefire Catering?
Catering delivery drivers, on an as-needed basis, for orders and events in the Boston area. Employee will pick up catered meals and supplies, deliver to client locations in company-provided vehicles, and also provide simple setups for the food service. As-needed jobs will be 4-hour shifts starting between the hours of 6:00AM - 2:00PM, Monday to Friday.
Job Duites
- Load and unload food, catering supplies, and equipment for client events
- Set up simple food service items at the client site, including chafing pans, food trays, serving utensils, and related equipment
- Ensure food and equipment are handled carefully and professionally
- Communicate with the catering team and client contact as needed
- Assist with kitchen clean-up and dishes, as needed, upon return
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Follow delivery and food safety procedures
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift at least 40 lbs and carry catering trays, food containers, and equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Professional and courteous when interacting with clients
- Previous catering, food delivery, hospitality, or event experience is a plus, but not required
- Training will be provided
