What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Delivery Driver position at Surefire Catering?
As-needed catering delivery drivers for orders and events in the DMV area. Contractors will pick up catered meals and supplies, deliver to client locations in company-provided vehicles, and provide simple setups for the food service. As-needed jobs will be 4-hour shifts starting between the hours of 6:00AM - 4:00PM, Monday to Friday.
Job Duites
- Pick up catered meals and catering equipment from our Fairfax, VA kitchen
- Drive company vehicles/vans safely and on time to client locations, primarily in Washington, DC and Virginia
- Load and unload food, catering supplies, and equipment
- Set up simple food service items at the client site, including chafing pans, food trays, serving utensils, and related equipment
- Ensure food and equipment are handled carefully and professionally
- Communicate with the catering team and client contact as needed
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Follow delivery and food-handling procedures
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift at least 50 lbs and carry catering trays, food containers, and equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Professional and courteous when interacting with clients
- Comfortable driving in Washington, DC and throughout Virginia
- Previous catering, food delivery, hospitality, or event experience is a plus, but not required
- Training will be provided
